Child, Adolescent & Family Counselling
"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about" - Angela Schwindt

Little, and not-so-little-anymore - humans are very sensitive to changes around them. Sometimes, when they feel unsure, confused or overwhelmed with the process of growing up, making friends or being confronted by something they don't understand, they need extra emotional support and time to explore their experiences.

As professional counsellors with training in child and adolescent mental health, we can help your child, no matter if they are 5 or 15, to feel understood and process difficult emotions.

Common issues we can help your child with
- Stress at home
- Understanding their emotions
- Growing up and changes in their body
- Transition through separation or divorce of the parents
- New baby arrival and adjustment to this change
- Just a safe space to talk and be yourself
Meet Miranda,
our Child and Youth Counsellor
I am passionate about working with children and youth aged 5+ and firmly believe that fostering mental health wellbeing should start at a young age.
I also have an interest in working with young people as they navigate school, identity, and the many pressures of growing up. My approach to working with young people is both creative and eclectic, adapting to each child's unique needs to ensure they feel comfortable and safe during our sessions. I believe that establishing this sense of security is the first crucial step in supporting them on their journey to mental and emotional wellbeing.
